100 Weld St, Roslindale MA
A new 4-story, 17-unit, 31,000 square foot building on Centre St.
Project Summary:
A transit-oriented, mixed-use building, designed on the site of a former gas station. The 2 bedroom/2 bath unit designs include flats and duplexes.

The mass of the building is broken down to a human-scale through window patterns and plane changes. The façades are further articulated through use of architectural elements such as projecting bays, cornices and parapets.

Building amenities include an elevator, a heated parking garage and roof decks with views of the Arnold Arboretum.

Value to Client:
No variances required; 4-story building designed within 35' height limit for this Neighborhood Shopping District.

Regulatory/neighborhood hurdles:
Boston PDA (Article 80 Small Project Design Review), Boston PIC, Boston Main Streets, Boston Parks and Recreation Commission and local neighborhood groups.
