Wyeth House, Needham MA

The project involved the restoration, adaptive-reuse and an addition to the childhood home of N.C. Wyeth. The house, built in 1881, served as inspiration for an illustration Wyeth created for the novel Treasure Island.

A multi-level deck was designed to maximize south facing views of the Charles River and provide family outdoor space. The barn was adapted and transformed into a 3-car garage, studio and in-law apartment. A new "functional" entrance to the main house was added adjacent to the garage, providing direct access to a renovated lower-level with a family room, mud room, home theater and a gym.
