This new project involved the renovation and modernization of a Coolidge Corner 3-family located with a beautiful brick and stone façade.
The design approach involved converting the existing apartments from 1 bedroom/1 bath layouts into 3 bedroom/2 bath layouts. The unfinished basement was excavated (creating greater headroom), the foundation was reinforced and an underground drainage system was installed. This added infrastructure provided the opportunity to develop an additional 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment.
Value to Client:
Eight additional bedrooms. New high-efficiency heating and cooling system in each apartment. Electrical and plumbing systems modernized. New fire protection systems installed.
